Search Console property
In short and in plain language
A Search Console property is an area of your website in a search tool.
The tool collects data for this area. You also change settings there.
A property can cover the whole domain. Or just one part of it.
The verified owner manages the users and the settings.
Definition
A property is the part of a website for which a search engine's analysis tool collects data and manages settings. A domain property covers the whole domain including all subdomains, a URL-prefix property only addresses with a specific beginning. Whoever verifies a property as owner manages its users and settings.
